Mission Status:Santa Cruz Island Reserve Current
The Air Force Reserve, in partnership with the underserved cities of Yellville, Mountain Home, and Marshall of Arkansas, will furnish military professionals with medical, logistics, Personnel Support for Contingency Operations (PERSCO), Force Support Squadron (FSS), communications, public affairs, Joint Operations Center (JOC), plans, leadership, and chaplain training to increase overall unit deployment readiness. The Army Reserve, Active Duty Navy, and Air National Guard will support this mission.

The Air National Guard, in partnership with the K'ima:w Medical Center, will offer medical services and education to community members of the Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation in California. The Active Duty Marine Corps will partner with Santa Cruz Island Reserve and the University of California Santa Barbara to provide support transporting communication equipment to Santa Cruz Island, California. This mission will include real-world training in evaluating techniques for launching and piloting aircraft, lifting and placing shipping containers, and maintaining communication equipment (deliverables) and aircraft. The Marine Corps Reserve will support this mission.

The Air National Guard will partner with 365 Health of Colorado for transportation support of medical supplies over the diverse and challenging terrain of Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming. This effort will include heavy equipment training and time management training to adhere to strict delivery and pickup schedules. The Army National Guard will support this mission.

The Army Reserve will partner with the Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services to offer medical, dental, optometry, immunizations, and medical education services to the residents of the Gill Baza and Zero Down subdivisions in Guam (Yigo). Training will include preparation and coordination of hospitalization and outpatient services operations as well as managing patient care operations and planning health service support operations.

The Air National Guard with partner with the Girl Scouts of Hawai'i for civil engineering support and services readiness training with additional administrative and personnel support functions. This mission will perform horizontal, vertical, electrical, and survey work as well as construction management and logistical planning to improve the Camp Kilohana site and its buildings. The Army National Guard and Air Force Reserve will support this mission.

Mission Status: Current
The Army National Guard will lead this mission with Nimiipuu Health to offer medical support services, including annual physical exams, vaccinations, diabetic care, and dental health assessments, to a local Idaho population. Staff will gain technical proficiency in clinical exam screening aspects of their Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) as well as experience collaborating with community entities in addition to receiving aviation training. The Army Reserve and Air National Guard will support this mission.

The Air National Guard will partner with Chances And Services for Youth, Inc. to offer no-cost medical, dental, and vision services to communities in Vigo and contiguous counties of Indiana. Military professionals will receive real-world training in supplying medical services as well as performing logistics, communications, and additional administrative and personnel support functions to increase overall deployment readiness. The Active Duty Air Force will support this mission.

The Air National Guard, in partnership with members of the Woodbine Community School District, will build and renovate the IGNITE Pathways building, a regional STEM center of Iowa. This mission will supply military personnel with real-world civil engineering support experience (horizontal, vertical, electrical and survey work) as well as construction management and logistical planning and services readiness training, with additional administrative and personnel support functions. The Air Force Reserve will support this mission.

The Air Force Reserve is leading efforts with the Delta Regional Authority to offer basic medical, optical, and dental health services to the underserved cities of Monroe and West Monroe, Louisiana. The Army Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, Active Duty Navy, and Air National Guard will support this mission.

The Marine Corps Reserve will partner with the civilian and joint community of the Maryland Coordination and Analysis Center (MCAC) to train and exercise the skills and abilities of military personnel in penetration testing and evaluations on threats and vulnerabilities in networks and systems.

Walking Shield

Mission Status: Current
The Army National Guard, in partnership with the Cass Lake Indian Health Services in Minnesota, will supply medical, dental, optical, and veterinarian care for community members in need. Training will include expeditionary deployment ops, Force Health Protection (FHP) activities, and command post operations as well as establishing a company command post, battle rhythm, and common operational picture. The Army Reserve will support this mission.

The Army National Guard will lead the partnership with Mississippi's Toughest Kids Foundation (MKT) to supply commercial and residential construction for MTK Camp Kamassa in Mississippi. This mission will include training on performing construction operations, reading construction prints, managing quality assurance procedures of a construction project, and applying project management principles as well as constructing electrical utilities and a wood frame structure. The Army National Guard, Navy Reserve, and Air Force Reserve will support this mission.

The Air National Guard will lead the Delta Area Economic Opportunity Corporation in providing medical, dental, vision, and wellness services to the underserved and impoverished parts of a five-state region. Military professionals will receive real-world unit and individual readiness training with additional administrative and personnel support functions at multiple geographically separated operational sites. The Army Reserve and Marine Corps will support this mission.

The Air National Guard will partner with the Blackfeet Tribe for civil engineering support by rehabilitating vacant homes on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. Operation Walking Shield will perform service readiness training with additional administrative and personnel support functions to furnish an exceptional opportunity for unit and individual readiness. The Air Force Reserve will support this mission.

The Army National Guard, in partnership with the Department of Natural & Cultural Resources (DNCR) Division of Parks and Recreation, will supply civil engineering support for the campgrounds of Greenfield State Park, New Hampshire. Military personnel will train in construction operations and management; vertical, mechanical, and electrical construction; and preventative maintenance.

The Active Duty Marine Corps will partner with the United States Forest Service for civil engineering support relocating and installing a new catwalk bridge in Catron County, New Mexico. This mission includes heavy lift training and reduced visibility landings and terrain flights in the range complex, refreshing the aircrew's proficiency in requisite skill sets.

The Navy Reserve will lead this partnership with the state of New Mexico to provide housing for homeless families of the Navajo Nation. The Army Reserve is partnering with Southern Tier East Regional Planning Development Board to supply basic medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services to the residents of Delaware County, New York. Military personnel will train in force health protection, health service support, and medical mission command; supervising preventive medicine services and medical treatment; and planning Army Health System support.

The Air Force Reserve will lead the effort with the City of Minot, North Dakota, to furnish aerial spray services to control vectors of disease-prone mosquito populations over the city. Military personnel will receive real-world training in evaluating techniques for launching and piloting aircraft, handling and applying aerial spray chemicals, maintaining spray equipment and aircraft, and analyzing control effectiveness.

The Air National Guard will lead this mission with the Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation for real-world civil engineering support and services readiness training with additional administrative and personnel support at this site in Oklahoma for native veterans. The Navy Reserve and Air Force Reserve will support this mission.

The Army National Guard will support this mission.

This mission will train for mobilization, equipment maintenance, and construction while enhancing unit capabilities and building readiness.
